I’m Brooke Welch and I work with organizations to nurture connections that build loyalty, longevity, and productivity, while celebrating and attracting diversity.
Brooke consults and provides experiential programs for organizations to connect their teams, increase well-being, and foster an inclusive and equitable culture where Alcohol is Not Needed.
Brooke created the Tiny Adventures Path (TAP) well-being practice through her own experience of crisis, recovery, resilience, and thriving amidst uncertainty. Brooke also brings her “tiny adventure mindset” and creative energy to speak on workplace well-being and culture.
Brooke serves as Co-Chair of the Well-being Committee for the Women's Bar Association of DC and recently organized its first Well-being Conference. She serves on the new Institute for Well-being in the Law Committee for Law School Well-being. Brooke also volunteers for the DC Bar Lawyer Assistance Program and Virginia Judges & Lawyers Assistance Program.
Brooke embraces travel for big adventure. She took a one-year travel sabbatical, with experiences ranging from hot air ballooning in Cappadocia, Turkey to hang-gliding in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But, she finds everyday joy and meaning through "tiny adventures."
Brooke actively creates community where Alcohol is Not Needed. She organizes the Tiny Adventures RVA Social Meetup in Richmond, Virginia with 400 members and over 80 events. The Tiny Adventures community includes a spectrum of non-drinkers and drinkers who are seeking fun, meaningful, experiences and connections beyond alcohol culture. Events include outdoors, culture, music, novel activities, and food-oriented experiences in the Richmond, VA area.
Brooke graduated with a joint degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy (Tufts). Her legal background includes BigLaw litigation in NYC and DC, as well as non-profit humanitarian immigration law in Baltimore, MD. Brooke speaks English, French, and Spanish (and a little Portuguese).
Brooke lives in Richmond, VA to be close to her extended family. You can find her doing tiny adventures with family members (especially her nieces and nephews!), friends, and solo.
